Coming up: Craft Like An Egyptian March 25th 2014

Image: Sal Hughson
This month's theme should be read while sung to the theme of a certain Bangles song!
We're stepping back in time to the earliest craft civilisations the Ancient Egyptians....well those pyramids of their's took some serious construction and as for the jewellery they wore...they knew how to bling it up alright!

Cryptic Collars
Sew or......

....stick your own snazzy Pharaoh Collar....fancy dress invitation not needed. This is all about accessorising like it's 5000BC.

Sacred Cat Crafts
The Egyptians loved their feline friends and so do we! We'll have some cat themed crafts to join in (haven't decided what yet) but rest assured we have everything you need to make your own whiskers, tails and more!

Bejewelled Treasures

We're joined by very special guests Becca Tansley aka AlterKnitive who'll be showing you how to make your own elegant earrings with an Egyptian theme. Becca runs her own craft night Gluing For Grow-Ups in Shropshire inspired by us so we are honoured to have her as a special guest tutor.

PLUS:

In Collage Corner we have tonnes of great paper crafting ideas including making crowns or cards with secret hieroglyphic messages and of course you can learn to knit or knit in company in out Knitting Knook.

As ever doors open at 7.30pm, entry is free and all the workshops run on a drop-in basis.
See you there!
