Join our Christmas Craft-A-Thon on Dec 18th!

At The Make Escape we love to craft! Especially when it involves shimmery, sparkly collage materials, spending the evening with lovely people and listening to the coolest DJs in London Town without breaking the bank.
Yep we're back...for the last craft night of the year and we're seeing 2012 off in style with a fun filled night of Xmas Crafting.
Whether you want to make Xmas stockings:
Have fun with gift wrapping techniques & cardmaking:

Fancy felting a Christmas pudding:

With felt expert and author Susanne Wallis who will also be selling & signing copies of her new book:

Or just want to hang out, colour stuff in, have a chin wag, relax, do nothing or do your Xmas shopping in our Makers Market, the only place you need to be on Tuesday Dec 18th 7.30-10.30pm is The Hackney Attic.

Joining us at this month's Maker's Market are:

Le Shit-Chic Boutique is the home of bold, brave and outlandish jewellery and accessories (and more...). Each idea is fertilised by a slightly overactive brain, that of founder Jemma! LSCB's products are based on the love of all things beautiful, that are a little 'rough around the edges'. Because nobody is perfect, but everyone can be gorgeous. Jemma will also be running a surprise mini workshop, to make your tree sparkle!

Funky Fibres

A group of keen crafters who meet every Monday evening at The Lord Northbrook pub in Lee, SE12.  They will be running a stall selling some of their creations which include knitting, beading, crochet and weaving. Group members will also be crafting on the night and would love you to come along and join them - they may even share some of their secrets!

Craft Closet

Co-run by The Make Escape's Beccy The Craft Closet sell make-your-won kits so you have everything you need to get crafting - whether it's making a knitted snood or cross stitching some bunting - the perfect gift for a crafter or to convert someone!

Sheree Robinson Knitwear

Sheree is a recent graduate from Central Saint Martins and a Knitwear Designer who loves colourful shiny yarn. She specialises in making knitted accessories and sparkly, vibrant dresses. Sheree will be running a stall featuring her glitzy hand knitted winter range and a class on how to create small textile pieces to accessories your knitwear.

As ever, the night is free, we lay on the materials, you just need to turn up! It's drop in so come by any time, get yourself a drink at the Attic bar then pull up a seat and get making.

Hope to see you there xxxx
